Aftin Brown is the owner and managing attorney of the Law Office of Aftin R. Brown, LLC. She represents clients throughout Indiana in civil litigation matters including creditor/debtor rights, foreclosure defense, family and domestic relations and landlord/tenant rights. Aftin also represents individuals charged with criminal offenses including major felonies and misdemeanors. A seasoned litigator, Aftin has argued before many state courts including but not limited to Marion, Hamilton, Boone, Johnson, Hendricks, Hancock, Shelby and Putnam counties. She is also a trained and state appointed guardian ad litem.
Also, Aftin spent several years as a legal consultant to both in-house and outside counsel for some of the nation's top lenders including JP Morgan Chase, Aurora Bank and Nationstar.

Outside the courtroom, Aftin enjoys giving back to her profession and to her community through a number of organizations. She provides pro bono or low fee services in immigration and criminal matters for the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic and the Indianapolis Bar Association. Aftin acts as guardian ad litem for children in need of services with Child Advocates of Marion County (CASA). She also participates in "Talk to a Lawyer" events with the Boner Center and Heartland Pro Bono. Aftin volunteered as a family law facilitator in a Marion County grant based program. Her philanthropic efforts have earned her published recognition in the Indiana Lawyer and the Indianapolis Star.
